Wilderness Knot

NYC temperatures are still hovering in the upper 60's, lower 70's range, so it's not quite cold enough for fall clothing, but not quite warm enough to pull off the summer favorites either. For this weird in-between weather, I went with a classic white button down and relaxed denim, and made it a little more fall by adding on a pair of olive chelsea rain-boots and a burgundy neck scarf tied in a wilderness knot (for those of you who "speak J.Crew" this will make perfect sense)

Burgundy and Olive are going to be two huge colors for this coming fall, and I'm excited to play them up together with neutrals like camel and navy, to part from the typical boring black (So non-New-Yorker of me). And as if I haven't pounded the idea of neck-scaves into you enough lately, I'm crazy excited to build my collection and wear them all. the. time.

And of course I have to top that off with a few accessories. Going off the burgundy trend, I carried this adorable micro bag from the WhoWhatWear x Target collection (which is only $30!!) After that, I added on a few small pieces of jewelry from this month's Rocksbox (see the post with a code for a free box HERE) I threw on these delicate Kendra Scott Kimmel threader earrings and a pave ring by Sophie Harper
