To be honest, when quarantine started I did not own a single piece of lounge wear. The closest I had was activewear (which is comfy!) but since this social distancing and working from home is very unlikely to be going away anytime soon, I thought it was time to compile a small wardrobe of comfy but still cute clothes.

However, like so many others, I’v been furloughed from my 9-5 job, so the bank account is tight. The bright side is that this left me with lots of time to scour the internet for the best lounge wear at the best prices.

So without further adieu, here are my picks for the best loungewear under $50:

TOPS

I typically fall in the oversize-sweatshirt and leggings type of lounge wear girl, so as soon as I saw this red C’est toi sweatshirt, I bought it and will be turning it into a cropped version. Some other favorites are this Brooklyn one I’ve had forever, and cozy ballet inspired tops.

BOTTOMS

For bottoms, I was trying to pull fun updates to the basic black legging. I love these bright lilac ones, or a tie-dye marble effect, or these black kick flare pair for a more sophisticated feel.

SUITS, SETS & DRESSES

For day’s when you don’t want to wear pants, a cozy tshirt dress is a great staple. Or throw on an easy jumpsuit to look polished while still being comfortable!
