The sale that only comes once a year is finally here, and if you’re in need of some retail therapy to calm election/pandemic anxiety, then there’s no better place to go! I typically use the Sephora Sale to stock up on my favorites at a discount, and to try out new items or shop for gifts! Use the code HOLIDAYFUN for a discount, depending on your member-status with Sephora
Just because you don’t have access to a nail salon doesn’t mean your nails have to suffer. I started doing my own gel manicures at home over a year ago as a way to save money, and it’s surprisingly easy! All it takes is a little patience. Keep reading below for the exact tools I use and the tricks I’ve learned to make them perfect!
Glossier is by far one of my favorite beauty brands. They’re the mecca of makeup for any gal who strives for that dewy, natural, lit-from-within look. Plus, since they’re a skincare-first brand, you know that every product is made with your skin in mind. I’ve tried almost every product they have, and today I’m laying them all out in three categories (Love it, Like it, ad Leave it) with mini-reviews! I thought it was just as important to talk about the products I DON'T like as much as the one's I love, so today we're getting real and raw about one of my favorite brands!
And when you’re ready to try, get 10% off your ordering through my page! And if you want personal recommendations, send me a DM on Instagram!
The warm, sunny days have finally arrived, and it’s time to ditch the heavy foundations and dark lipsticks for bright hues and lightweight tinted moisturizers. But just because it’s hot out doesn’t mean you can’t have fun with makeup! I’ve rounded up four of this summer’s most fun makeup trends, and made a quiz so you can see which one you should try based on your personality!

I’ve always struggled with acne. Since I was a preteen, I’ve had a constant flow of black-heads, white-heads, and red/blotchy skin. Even worse, I’m always that person who HAS to pop a zit, so I’ve accrued a ton of acne scars over the years. Through all this, I’ve always religiously washed and moisturized my face, never slept with makeup on, and tested TONS of serums, acids, spot-treatments, and masks, but nothing ever seemed to work.
As a beauty blogger, I constantly try to switch up the products that I use, so I can tell you guys what’s worth your money, and what’s not. But the true test of a great product is whether or not you continually repurchase it. The ones that you always go back to time and time again. So I’ve complied a list of 6 beauty products that I always keep on my vanity, because they’re worth every penny.
I've gone through so many stages of makeup routines. From putting on a full contour and cat-eye every morning to going 'minimal' and wearing nothing but concealer and mascara, and everything in between. But the thing I love about makeup is there is no wrong answer (except blue eyeshadow or too-dark foundation, those are always no-no's). You can wear as much or as little, play around with bright colors or keep it neutral, whatever you want!
I had been thinking of trying eyelash extensions for awhile now. I mean, who doesn’t want to wake up with long, full, curled lashes every morning? Well I just found the best affordable eyelash extension salon in NYC, and I’m addicted to my new lashes!!
It's been quite a while since I last dumped out my makeup bag to show you. Being a beauty blogger, I try out a ton of different products, but the daily routine usually stays more-or-less the same with the exception of a single-item swap here and there. I've finally gotten to a collection of products that I love, and work really well for me, so read on to find out what they are!
Every pale girl has known the struggle of being told they need to "get a tan" or "go outside more", only to find that they'll burn instantly without wearing SPF 70. We're cleverly nicknamed "Casper", and flash photography commonly turns us into a version of Lord Voldemort with better lipstick and eyelashes.
When I was in middle school and first beginning to live the horror of acne, I dreamed of the day I'd be in my twenties and never have to deal with another zit again. Boy, was I wrong. Unfortunately, acne does not magically go away once you leave your teens, but after trying product after product and seeing nothing change, I threw out everything and ordered the Glossier Phase 1 Set.
How your skin looks can greatly affect your mood, and how you feel about yourself. Beautiful clear skin will make you feel amazing, and ready to take on the day, but a huge zit will make you want to crawl back under the covers. Here are 10 easy ways to try ad prevent those little spots, and wake up with clear, bright skin!
It's been quite a while since I wrote one of these! February was drowned in Fashion Week coverage, so I didn't have time to write one, but I've been loving a few particular colors, trends, and makeup bits over the past two months, so here's a little peek into what I'm loving right now!
Glossier has pushed farther into the makeup realm and created a gorgeous set of essentials, called the Black Tie Set, to accent and enhance the natural glow that their skincare products have already created for so many cult-followers. Their skin-first makeup-second mantra has created a popular idea about makeup that they should aim to enhance, not hide.
Foundation is the hardest makeup product to get right. We all want something that is going to look, feel, and wear well even after several hours, and preferably with little to no touch-ups. Put the fear of breakouts on top of that, and you have a real challenge here. I recently started a quest to test as many luxury foundations as I can (giving each one at least a month or more to test) and after CHANEL's Les Beiges Foundation, next up on the list is Giorgio Armani's Luminous Silk Foundation
If only I had the time every morning to spend an hour perfectly applying makeup and styling my hair. Unfortunately, no such luxury exists, and I mainly resort to throwing my messy hair into a ponytail and applying a coat of mascara as I run out the door. However, lately I have almost perfected the art of applying just the basics in a way that makes it appear as though I put more effort than I did!
Morning, Lovelies! Today's post is all about a skincare product that I have relied on heavily over the past few weeks, and I can honestly say it's saved my skin! You may have noticed that I've been changing scenery quite often (flying off to Cancun, back to Texas, then moving back to New York) and all that flying and changing climates can really take a toll on your skin, especially if you already have dry skin, like mine, to begin with.
Good Morning, Lovelies! I've been really happy lately with the skincare routine that I've built, and since I've gotten a few questions about what I've been using, I thought it would be fun to grab my best friend Lauren and go through our skincare routines for you! I veer more on the dry side, while Lauren tends to be more oily, so no matter what your skin type, we've got a few suggestions!
Good Morning, Lovelies! Today I thought I would share a peek (or every nitty detail) about my makeup routine! Obviously I don't use all of these products every single day, and I treasure no-makeup days, but these are my tried-and-true favorites for every step in the makeup process!
Good morning, Lovelies! Today I thought I would give a little skincare update since its been almost a year since my last one! Most products have changed, but a few tried-and-true favorites remain in my arsenal. A little glimpse into my skin type: I can be dry, normal, or oily depending on the day or time of year, but I always moisturize fairly heavily and use tons of sunscreen. (#PaleGirlProbz)
So I finally convinced Leo to attempt the "My Boyfriend Does My Makeup" Tag, and you're not going to want to miss the look that he comes up with! Sorry if it's a bit long, the original footage was almost an hour, but I managed to get it under ten minutes!
My tried-and-true skincare routine using Simple Micellar Water, Neutrogena Acne wash, Aveeno Daily Moisturizer, Laura Mercier Eye Cream, and Laura Mercier Hydrating Water
I was lucky enough to have this gorgeous little gem given to me by my grandmother as a graduation gift, and it has quickly become my most-used bag! It's large enough to hold the essential plus a few extras and the chic faux snakeskin adds something interesting to any outfit! It actually holds more than you think it would. I was surprised to find how much I could fit! It has small pocket inside the main compartment that's perfect for holding your phone, a zippered compartment on the back which is nice for keeping cash, cards, ID, etc. and I'm not quite sure what I'll use the front pocket for, possibly a metrocard, but for now it's just a pretty addition.
There are a lot of things that people don't tell you about going blonde. The inevitable dumb blonde jokes are obvious, as are the dreaded brown roots. Here are a few things I've learned when making the transition from deep chocolate to bright and golden and staying that way!
